Located just one step from the Théâtre de la Monnaie, the Ricotta and Parmesan restaurant, with a façade that does not hint at the majesty of the place, boasts a half-century of wrinkle-free existence.

As soon as they open the door, it foams. The master of the dining room checks your booking, which is more than enough if you want to find a table there on Saturday evening. The waiters are very caring. Everyone has their own task: to take orders to serve. You will understand. Here, things have to be done to serve about 130 customers, which are spread over three rooms spread over three different houses. The customers who confuse tourists with locals are mostly young. Even if the children’s menu is offered (pasta dish or pizza և dessert), the cave decorated with Italian trattoria is definitely not the place to celebrate Grandma’s 80th birthday.

The decor on the side of the plate responds to traditional cuisine – simple but delicious. The menu is enough to make you dizzy with its 15 types of pasta, which the customer accompanies from 25 recipes of his chosen sauce. Since 2014, the establishment has had a wood-burning stove for making just as generous pizzas. Local owner Reno Veterloos obviously knows the recipe for success. The formula is seductive, and Ricotta արմ Parmesan is always full, sometimes seeing that three dishes occupy certain tables on the busiest evenings. As an aperitif, these fun tables usually start with a plate to share (€ 14.20 / piece) as well as delicious focaccia (€ 5). In addition to pasta (average 15 to 20 euros) և pizzas (from € 9.50 to € 18.90), there is a great selection of appetizers և traditional dishes such as cutlets, vitello tonaton և other risotto.
